Each year, CrossRidge Church collects school supplies and uses a Dollar Day offering to buy additional school supplies and takes those items and distributes them to the elementary schools in our community. This year, LEISD has sent us a specific list of items each child needs. They have set a goal of 750 backpacks full of supplies.
You can help out in 1 and/or 2 ways. Our July Dollar Day on July 2nd, will go towards purchasing supplies. You can also buy supplies and drop them off at the church July 31st. We will have a drop off location in the foyer of our church.
Each child will need the following:
New 7th graders get a chance to get a sneak peek into the student minsitry on August 17th.
We know entering into a new group can sometimes be awkward and scary so we offer a night out just for students entering 7th grade.. On August 17th, they get a night where they get to hang out with some of the adult student leaders as well as several of our student leaders. This gives them time to get to know each other before they move up into their new Sunday morning classes and the student Wednesday Night services.
Bowling, arcade games, rope course, rock wall, food and more are on the list of things we will be doing at Pinstack on July 14th from 10am to 1pm. Signup and bring a friend because this is too much fun for one person.
Meet at the church at 9:15am and we will leave from there or you can meet us there.
