Grab a friend and head up to Club56 Movie Night for a movie with popcorn, candy, dinner, drinks, and a whole lotta fun!
Any 5th or 6th grader who has attended Club 56 at least once is invited to attend our Annual Club 56 Lock-In. We will meet at 7 pm here at the church. We will eat dinner, play games, make crafts, have a time of worship, watch a movie with popcorn, enjoy ice cream sundaes and might even sleep a little. Parents will pick up the students at 8 am Saturday morning. Cost is $10 each. Permission slip required.
It’s time for 56’ers to learn how to live off the land, milk the cow, run fence, chase down an armadillo, and light a kerosene lamp without burning off their eyebrows. However, none of these things will be taught at this year’s, Club 56 Winter Retreat.
Instead, they’ll get to stay up late, eat more junk food than they should and give their adult sponsor a hard time. Well, maybe not all those things. Especially the hard time part. They’ll also to get to hang out together, attend worship services, and learn a lot about God.
Register today and we’ll make sure we got a spot for you!
On December 4, we will be caroling and distributing Christmas door hangers as we visit with residents at Prairie Estates Nursing Home. Meet at the church at 2:45pm and we will return at 4:50pm. RSVP online by November 30. You will need to fill out a permission/release form.
Club 56 will be attending the 2016 Speak Life Retreat at Camp Copass in Denton, TX.
We will meet at the church on Friday, January 22nd at 6 pm. We will eat pizza then head out for our annual Scavenger Hunt. The winners will be determined and prizes will be awarded! Students will be picked up from the church at 10:15 pm. Students must RSVP to the church office at 972-292-1953 x 307 or email Ms. Sheila at firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday, January 20th to ensure enough car space for everyone. We will travel in personal vehicles. Cost is $7 per child. (Bring exact change or a check please.)
Please plan to let your Club 56er join us as we learn to serve our church family and the Lord. We will meet at the church at 9 am to work at and around the church building. We will do yard work as in trimming sucker branches off of trees, cleaning out the office flower bed and planting flowers and picking up trash and debris. Some of us will also walk up and down Walker Lane in front of the church picking up trash where CrossRidge has "adopted" that section of road. We will work until 12 noon, then travel to Sonic for lunch together. We will be back at the church ready to be picked up by 1 pm. What a wonderful opportunity to use our gifts and abilities to serve the Lord.
Please bring: work gloves, yard tools (rake, hoe, flower tools, branch trimmers, and hedge clippers), sunscreen, and money for lunch and a great attitude! I will provide waters. What an honor to be used by God
